Abstract: The innovation of digital technology and industrial revolution lead to the comprehensive reform of economic and social system, and promote human society to enter the new era of digital economy. Based on the perspective of the transformation of techno-economic paradigm, the paper constructed a dynamic analysis framework from the two dimensions of paradigm composition and paradigm evolution, and systematically analyzed the mechanism and characteristics of evolution of digital economy. The research results show that the development of digital economy is a process of paradigm change, which originates from scientific revolution, and further derives digital technology, breeds digital industry, and promotes institutional change. The evolution process of digital economy shows the characteristics of fast speed, strong penetration and wide radiation. The research is important to systematically reveal the development process, characteristics, development trend of digital economy, and to formulate relevant policies and measures, and form the institutional environment to promote the development of digital economy.
